I spent Tuesday and Wednesday and James's house. His mom's and his brother are both in Florida, so he's got the house to himself. On Tuesday we hung around his place with Emi. After a little while we drove Emi home. Then we drove around some more before stopping by Adam's house to say hello. He was out shopping with his dad, but his mom wouldn't let us leave without eating dinner there. So we had a steak dinner at Adam's house by accident. It was very nice of his mom to let us stay. But we payed for our meal by moving an organ. Which I had to no problem with.

Adam, Mike, and I slept over James's that night. Adam got up early 'cause he had to work. James, Mike, and I cooked ourselves dinner, clean up house, and went food shopping. I forget what happened the rest of the day, but we ended up having Jenna over to teach us the dance steps from the crapshooters' dance before "Luck Be a Lady." More people came over, and it turned into a quasi-party/get-together. It was pretty mellow in general. Patrick, Mike, and I stayed over James's that night. Pat and Mike left the next morning. I stayed to help James clean up. Then I went with him and Emi to get his ear pierced, after which we went to my house to study.

I read The House on Mango Street, by Sandra Cisneros, that night. It was pretty short, but it feels good to be able to say I read a book in one single night.

Quote of the day: I like to tell stories. I tell them in my head. I tell them after the mailman says, Here's your mail. Here's your mail he said.
