We went to the beach with the Gitners yesterday. Adam and I had fun boogie boarding. I don't think I burned nearly as much as last time, but I did tan quite a bit. After the beach, we went with them to Uncle Cheung's for Chinese food. They put us in this secluded room in the front, probably because we smelled like the beach. I overate, but not as much as I could have and have done before. I once ate so much I couldn't sleep on my stomache 'cause it was so full. Anyway...

I rented The Big Lebowski to watch today, since I've got the day off. Ms. Scionti (pronounced shonti), works at Blockbuster. I was in no rush to ask if she remembered me, mostly because I didn't like her all that much. She would constantly tell me I didn't speak loud enough, even if I was shreiking at the top of my lungs. She did let us watch Il Postino, an Italian movie about a guy who's hired to deliver mail to a communist poet who looked a lot like Jacques Prévin.

I have a feeling that I'm going to get a car by the end of the summer. My dad has a friend of a friend who owns a used car lot, and he's going to try and get me something decent for $2,000 or less.

I watched Saving Private Ryan a couple nights ago. Very good, very disturbing. I liked it a lot, but it gave me so much to think about that I couldn't fall asleep that night.
