I went to work with my dad today. On the way home, we stopped at the used car lot owned by a friend of a friend his. The guy had been keeping his eye out for a car for me, and something finally came in. It's a red 1990 Chevy Cavalier. It's not golden or anything, but it's good enough for me. There are some rust spots that have been painted over, the paint's a little faded in some spots, and it needs a few things to be fixed (like the horn and the a/c), but if all works out well, the car should be in my driveway on Monday.
The Stanley Kubrick-athon was cool. We watched Lolita (1962), then we started Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb but I had to leave about half an hour through it 'cause I needed to go to work the next morning and it was already 10:30 pm. It was good to see my friends, though.
Quote of the day:
Charlotte Haze: Whenever you touch me, darling, I go as limp as a noodle.
Humbert Humbert: Yes, I am familiar with that feeling.
